DAPA Scholarship
The Dallas Area Pharmacy Association has been recognizing pharmacy students since 2012, shaping the future of our profession. We are pleased to be able to award scholarships to undergraduates and recent PharmD graduates students that are invested in advocating for their profession and educating their communities.
Dallas Area Pharmacy Association (DAPA) offers scholarships to qualified Dallas Area students pursuing a career in pharmacy at an accredited school or college of pharmacy in Texas.
Application due date = Extended to April 14
Student Applicant Eligibility Criteria
- Pharmacy students from an accredited school or college of pharmacy in Texas, in their first (P1), second (P2), third (P3), or fourth (P4) professional year during the spring application period.
- Full time student
- GPA = 2.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 in required courses.
- Resident (permanent address) of Dallas, Collin, Cooke, Grayson, Kaufman, Rockwall, Van Zandt, or Wood County
- Student member of TPA
- Supporting Documents:
- One-page essay on why you need the scholarship, how the funds are to be used, and what your future goals are as a pharmacist
- Copy of Driver’s License for permanent address verification
- Current CV
- Letter from your pharmacy school verifying that you are a student in good standing, your Professional year status, and your GPA
- Letter of recommendation from one faculty member
Applicants will be judged on scholarship, need, and the potential to become a leader for Texas pharmacy, as demonstrated by involvement in pharmacy school and community activities. Scholarship recipients will be recognized on the DAPA website.
