Dallas Area Pharmacy Association (DAPA) offers scholarships to qualified Dallas Area students pursuing a career in pharmacy at an accredited school or college of pharmacy in Texas.
Application due date = April 5th
Student Applicant Eligibility Criteria
- Pharmacy students from an accredited school or college of pharmacy in Texas entering their second (P2), third (P3) and fourth (P4) professional years in the Fall of 2019.
- Full time student
- GPA = 2.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 in required courses.
- Resident (permanent address) of Dallas, Collin, Cooke, Grayson, Kaufman, Rockwall, Van Zandt, or Wood County
- Student member of TPA
- Supporting Documents:
- One-page essay on why you need the scholarship, how the funds are to be used, and what your future goals are as a pharmacist
- Current CV
- Letter from your pharmacy school verifying that you are a student in good standing, your Professional year status as of Fall of the award year, and your GPA
- Letter of recommendation from one faculty member
PharmD Graduate Applicant Eligibility Criteria
- 2019 Pharm D recipient from an accredited school or college of pharmacy in Texas
- GPA = 2.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 in required courses.
- Resident (permanent address) of Dallas, Collin, Cooke, Grayson, Kaufman, Rockwall, Van Zandt, or Wood County
- Student member of TPA
- Supporting Documents:
- One-page essay on why you need the scholarship, how the funds are to be used, and what your future goals are as a pharmacist
- Current CV
- Letter from your pharmacy school verifying that you are a student in good standing, your GPA to date, and confirmation that you are graduating in the award year.
- Letter of recommendation from one faculty member
Applicants will be judged on scholarship, need, and the potential to become a leader for Texas pharmacy, as demonstrated by involvement in pharmacy school and community activities.
Scholarship recipients will be recognized at the September DAPA meeting.
