2022 Overview and Update on the Opioid Epidemic and Pharmacys Role in Addressing Prescription Drug Abuse
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
1. Discuss the opioid abuse epidemic on a state and national level, the factors that have contributed to the current crisis, and recent updates and trends observed.
2. List the approved procedures of prescribing and monitoring controlled substances.
3. Describe the pharmacists role in addressing and preventing prescription drug abuse.
4. Discuss regulatory compliance, legislative, and enforcement aspects of opioid abuse.
