AbbVie – Thursday, April 1st – Women’s Health – Oriahnn

Dear DAPA members,

The AbbVie Women’s Health Organization is pleased to connect with the community of Pharmacists in the Dallas area.

We recognize your pharmacies provide services that cover a wide variety of medications, for diverse disease states, patient monitoring, and frequent communications with a diversity of healthcare providers. We as MSLs work to advance R&D in Women’s Health, promoting scientific communications that are fair and balanced and non-promotional in nature. We are here to support all healthcare providers, including pharmacists, deliver the best care to their patients!

Uterine fibroids, also called leiomyomas, are estrogen and progesterone-dependent non-cancerous tumors of the uterus and are the most common type of benign tumor in women of reproductive age. Traditionally, uterine fibroids have been primarily managed by surgery and are the leading reason for the hysterectomies performed in the U.S. ORIAHNN (Elagolix+Estradiol/NETA) is the first FDA-approved non-surgical, oral medication option for the management of heavy menstrual bleeding associated with uterine fibroids in pre-menopausal women.

With the ultimate goal to bring awareness, and elevate Women’s healthcare and the scientific acumen of our healthcare givers in our community, I will be offering a virtual educational program to connect with all of you, and provide a brief overview of uterine fibroids disease state and the phase III clinical trial data supporting our newest product indicated for heavy menstrual bleeding associated with uterine fibroids (FDA approved in 2020, https://www.rxabbvie.com/pdf/oriahnn_pi.pdf)

I will be offering two options for you to join via zoom,

Wed Mar 31, at 6 pm CT

Thurs April 1, at 12:30 pm CT

I look forward to having you join!

As your local MSL, please count on me as your local scientific peer and resource.

Thank you for your devoted service to all our patients,

Respectfully,
