What’s “silent” but always causes a lot of noise and fun?
Answer: The Texas Pharmacy Foundation Silent Auction, of course!
The Texas Pharmacy Foundation (TPF) exists to advance the profession of pharmacy through student scholarships and research projects.
We all know the cost of pharmacy education continues to rise, and more and more students count on scholarship dollars. Currently, the Foundation manages seven general scholarships and several named scholarships (Robert Clayton, Ladies Auxiliary, Larry “Neal” McClaugherty, Luther and Mary Ann Parker). To raise money for student scholarships, the Foundation has an annual fundraising campaign that includes the Silent Auction at the TPA Conference & Expo.
Each year we auction donated items, and WE NEED YOUR HELP! We ask you to put things TOGETHER in a basket for the auction because “TOGETHER PHARMACY ADVANCES.” Suggestions include baskets featuring regional items from your area of the state, gift cards from restaurants and stores that could be used statewide, hotel gift certificates, sports team baskets, wine, beer or spirits baskets. The possibilities are unlimited! We challenge the students from each college/school of pharmacy and each local association to participate for good, old‐fashioned, Texas‐sized bragging rights for best basket.
As a reminder, The Foundation is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax‐exempt education/research corporation. This means that donations and contributions are tax‐deductible.
